    Hike & Bite Dinner experience

Secret hike & Jamaican Food alongside creek

Buried a third of a mile in the woods of Hampton Georgia on the private property "Upendo lodge Estates" lies a scenic eating experience meant to envelop all senses.

After your scenic hike/walk where you may come across wildlife such as a family of deer, lizards, frogs and large shell turtles. You will end at a large creek, sitting beside it a custom built swing table for two. But this hike is about more than the food. Tables are set for two. Diners begin their experience with a 0.3-mile walk around the woods before sitting down to a Jamaican meal.

Plate options are selected before you book your experience. A local chef prepares authentic Jamaican food where you have the option to Byob, yes that includes alcohol! It's as if a little forest faerie was involved somehow, by the time the meandering walk is completed, the food is waiting for the diners, cooked and placed in secret by the owners themselves. Covered in a cloche to protect from animals, of course.

The owner Karee Upendo head inn keeper for the 8 acre estate, also offers unique tree house overnight accommodations that can be booked on Airbnb or from the website directly. The experience was created in hopes of bringing people closer to nature in lieu of COVID-19 with restaurant restrictions, its an opportunity to feel free and have a contactless experience.

There are options for add ons  to purchase, such as souvenirs like a in house made jam that is created using the American beauty Bush that sits beside the diners table. Or fresh honey made from bees on the property. You can also choose a insect taxidermy cube, which are encapsulated deceased insects found on the trail. Or a smores package to have roasted marshmallows around rainbow adirondack chairs. We sometimes have themed dinners for holidays, click the link for bookings.

    * This experience requires diners to be in good physical condition. You will be provided a secret map & location instructions. We suggest hiking shoes or boots and insect repellent.
